The Daintree rainforest is 135 million years old and home to the spiritual ancestors of the Kuku Yalanji tribe - rainforest Aboriginal people who named this place ‘Wawu-Karrba’ - healing of the spirit.
With the approval of the Kuku Yalanji elders, The Daintree spa treatments integrate the wisdom of ancient cultures, medicines, spirituality and healing. These are offered in the spa and naturopathy modalities.

Their exclusive product range, Daintree Essentials has been created using the pristine rainforest water and superfine ochres from their property and with an emphasis on native certified organic fruit, flower, nuts and seeds that work in perfect harmony with your body, mind and soul.

Resort Facts

The Accommodation at Daintree Eco Lodge is a unique hideaway. Only 15 tranquil rainforest villas occupy secluded positions amongst the world’s oldest living rainforest, reinforcing the impression of being “at one with nature”, yet still providing all the creature comforts of a boutique retreat.

Dine in the enchanting Julaymba Restaurant- open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Julaymba means in the Kuku Yalanji dialect ‘ The Daintree area from the river to the ocean’. The menu has been carefully designed, incorporating an abundance of exotic and Queensland fruits, tropical reef fish and local produce with native and indigenous nuts, berries, flowers, leaves and seeds from the property.

Many of the native ingredients are also incorporated into the unique Aboriginal spa treatments. The menu also features light and healthy spa cuisine for guests who enjoy delicious meals in line with good health and wellbeing.
